EVS29: Avere's E-Visionary Award goes to City of Amsterdam.

City of Amsterdam receives the prestigious E-Visionary Award at EVS29 for the second time from AVERE for continuous outstanding efforts in developing e-mobility in the broadest way, including charging infrastructure, taxis, tourist boats and much more.

The Award was presented on 22-06-2016 during the Closing ceremony of EVS29 in Montreal by AVERE & WEVA President Joeri de Ridder to Art Van der Giessen, Project Manager Electric Vehicles City of Amsterdam and Bart Vertelman, responsible for charging infrastructure at the City of Amsterdam.

AVERE's jury members unanimously awarded Amsterdam for its long and solid track record of promoting the use of electric vehicles in the city, putting an effective charging infrastructure in place and promoting in general the transition to electromobility. The targets and the ambitious timing set for zero emission taxi's, buses, small delivery vehicles, light vehicles and even boats are world leading and an example to all cities.

The E-Visionary Award for North America (EDTA & EMC) was given to the City of Montreal. It was presented by Chantal Guimont, President and CEO of EMC (Electric Mobility Canada) to Montreal's Mayor Mr. Denis Coderre.

Professor CC.Chan from EVAAP - and WEVA founder - presented the Asia-Pacific E-visionary Award to the Hon. DU Peng, Consul of the Peoples Republic of China to Quebec for outstanding efforts in the field of E-Mobility by the City of Hefei.
