Suceava City Hall purchased 11 EVs, through auction, within the project "Electromobility - electric vehicles for a green municipality", having a budget of 3.11 million Swiss francs.

With funding from the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program, the local public administration will equip the car park with 11 electric cars, two electric vans and one cargo bus. The allocated budget will also be used to purchase 10 electric bicycles and photovoltaic panels.

28 charging points will also be built, of which half for fast charging, and 56 parking spaces for electric vehicles will be built. At the same time, of the allocated amount, 225,000 lei will be used for the elaboration of the technical and economic documentation for the promotion of a project with European financing for the acquisition of a number of 40 electric buses for public transport in the municipality, a project valued at 18.5 million euros .

Mayor of Suceava, Ion Lungu, said: "We did not intend to have electric limousines at the City Hall, which is why we chose small, ergonomic cars that could slip through traffic in the city. The battery's autonomy is 150 km and the maximum speed is 130 km / h. Just what it takes for zero emissions in the city. "
